Ocean Axis is a passion project developed to share stories of the ocean
About Me.
I am a Marine Biology graduate with experience in conservation and diving. I have contributed to community projects and scientific research initiatives and gained experience in public speaking and data analysis.

I have always enjoyed writing and I am incredibly passionate about the ocean, which is currently threatened by acidification, rising temperatures, and deoxygenation. Many people are unaware of the extent of the alien planet that lies beneath the surface of Earth's waters

I am passionate about the environment and scientific innovation and love practical work in the field. I have completed over 300 SCUBA dives as a DiveMaster in both the UK and Indonesia.

2020 - 2024
Marine Biology
University of Plymouth
Although my degree focused on Marine Biology it was not exclusive to marine systems or biology. Some of my favourite modules focused on the evolution of humans and speciation across all walks of life. The ocean and planet is full of interdependent processes which cover all aspects of science and maths.
2022 - 2023
Industrial Professional Experience
At the age of 20 I secured funding from my University which allowed me to spend a year living in South Asia. I worked at various NGOs helping with conservation and science education. I also worked within companies as a social representative embarking on kayaking expeditions and boat tours.
SCUBA

Since my first dive in 2019, I have completed over 300 dives and qualified as a professional diver. Being able to explore the alien world of the ocean fuelled my passion for the environment even more. Diving enabled me to begin teaching myself underwater photography and videography as another form of sharing stories from the blue.
